Wendy Waters
For nearly two decades, Wendy led the Research Services and Strategy Team at a major institutional real estate investment firm, providing institutional-grade analysis of Canadian real estate markets.
Wendy holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Arizona, specializing in economic development and infrastructure investments. She currently serves on the Urban Land Institute BC Steering Committee and was named one of BC's most influential people in real estate in 2024. She regularly shares insights as a keynote speaker, conference panelist, and through her widely-followed LinkedIn analysis.
Nicholas Jeanes
Nicholas Jeanes brings legal and capital markets expertise to KV Capital, having spent the early part of his career at a national law firm where he focused on M&A, capital markets, and real estate transactions. At KV Capital, he oversees fund formation, capital markets strategy, client relations, and corporate development, playing a central role in both the firm's lending platform and investment fund operations.
His work bridges KV Capital's debt and equity businesses, ensuring strong governance, strategic investor relationships, and disciplined capital deployment across the firm's $327 million mortgage portfolio and private equity funds. Mr. Jeanes is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta and serves on the Alberta Securities Commission Exempt Market Dealer Advisory Committee, bringing regulatory insight and institutional rigour to KV Capital's investment platform.
Curtis Power
Curtis Power brings over two decades of real estate debt experience across CFO, COO, and President roles. Under his leadership, KV Capital's in-house lending segment grew from $60 million to more than $400 million over ten years, with more than $1 billion in mortgage funding delivered at remarkably low loss ratios through multiple real estate cycles.
Mr. Power oversees KV Capital's debt origination, underwriting, and portfolio management across development finance, commercial term lending, and CMHC insured financing. His approach combines institutional-grade credit discipline with the relationship focus and execution speed that differentiate KV Capital from traditional bank lenders. He holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
